I have nothing but good to say! I traveled several times in the South but the first time in Cuba. 1:30 after we landed spirit to enjoy a drink at the pool, check in and room is received (this is the first time it was quick as a trip) we were still about sixty who have arrived! ! The food is good, the wine is very good, we could choose the same. It is safe as milk, butter and cheese is not like ours we are in Cuba and not in Quebec site, room and beach was clean. The animation at the pool side Lagoon was great, for both children and adults. Yes there were toilets clogged or no paper but there were always one who was correct ... We have not had a problem with water or the room or on the site. The weather was exceptional, 28-29 for 7 days! We were 2 adults and 2 children 8-9 years, everyone thought it was great. The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and funny. In terms of tipping the staff like to have as many products as clothing, body products (hair), pencil coloring books with pesos as they can keep for themselves and do not have to share with others . We played sports with the animation team and they exceeded the hours to fill. The staff work very hard. There were no bugs! To be in the South away from the snow that's wonderful and I recommend this site!

The a la carte restaurants are'' good'' less than the buffet but I have not had a chance to try the VIP (just positive feedback for this restaurant). Lagoons off a slight odor but it was not that bad.

The site is great, the buffet is varied and fresh food is good. Clean. Excellent service to the various restaurants on the map. The bar side Emperador better filled than those of Laguna.

I just returned from the trip at December 29, 2009 December 5, 2010 we had 4 adults who thought he had made a good choice of hotel, but no. Very courteous and professional service on the plane for the round trip (Sunwing). Great meal, glass of bubbly but unfortunately I have a lot of air time ... :) Fast service at the airport tranfer to the hotel by luxury coach. The NH Krystal Laguna is a beautiful resort, with beautiful vegetation. We stayed in the Azul Section, Pavilion 22, Room 19 (rex-floor). We had one of the few rooms in the place to have a terrace. This lodge is conveniently located between two buffets, near the adult pool, not too far from the sea and there is a bar right next lunge. It is nearly performances but it ends before 22h (those who want pure couher earlier) As these flags are only four rooms, there + privacy. In our case the rooms we were very lucky but I've heard horror stories for others and those in section + expensive (Emperador) were disappointed in their room because apparently seeing ours, the Nore was perhaps a little smaller but it was more recent and a balcony or terrace. It depends on what you are looking ... The site is very large. This can be a good thing for privacy but it can become a negative thing because you always provide a good walk! For people who have difficulty walking, allow a wheelchair because at least, are suitable places! Our favorite was the steak house but do not expect to eat meat very tender and without pulldown. I think their cut of meat is different from ours but we did have good taste. There are also more choices in the buffet section Emperador (but also open to customers Azul section) and it seems to me that the food was fresher. This is a great place to relax as there is very little animation on the site. The sand is soft, fine and hot water. The water is a turquoise dream. When I went there were jelly-fish as there were storms off. It is not wide and there is not always enough to chair going to sit. Provide a good mosquito repellent. At dusk they are particularly voracious on the beach, sand fleas too. It calms down later in the evening. The pools are well maintained. We especially enjoyed the adult pool, quieter but it became so popular that it lacked chairs! Riding (next to the complex Sol) 10cc / hour. Perfect for beginners.

We went from 30 December to 6 January for the New Year when the site was really waiting for FULL therefore everything and everywhere: on arrival (day) the room was not ready, waiting to enter the buffet morning and night, difficulty in booking a la carte restaurants (some were able to get their reservations through the gift or $), overworked staff ... One felt that it was a bit disorganized. As it was early January, the temperature was a bit fresh and that there were two beautiful hot sunny days or when we arrived and before we left. There were two days with red flag (no swimming), fresh and very windy. I had a good sweater, a jacket and a coat and it was not enough. Is it that it was always like that or exeptional in that period in Cuba? I do not know, it was my first stay. This hotel does not seem to pay attention to what is supposed to be included in the packages. Many complained of not having their bottle of rum, refreshments or towel in their room as agreed. This problem seemed to be at all wholesalers then it may be connected to the hotel. We paid top dollar for the day of the year. By 31, there was a big buffet but as the lobsters seemed to be there for a long time, I did not dare. There was very little motion. Fortunately, the tourists there were in a festive mood because otherwise it would have been dead. I've only seen dancing around the pool but otherwise it's all I've seen on the site as animation during my week in hand, evening entertainment, which lasted between 30 and 45 minutes. 31, the show ended at 23:30, not counted in the new year, nothing. The bar closed 15 minutes later. They closed the music and told us to go and finish it at the disco, it broke the mood but we got our little party and we had lots of fun. Food: it was sad to have to insist on reserving to a la carte restaurants. We were always told to come back tomorrow and when we returned, it was full! Hotel standard but very good, excellent food, all a la carte restaurants (5) were excellent. Very clean and great side after Imperador. Fridge réaprovisionné daily, bottle of rum and bag of coffee on arrival, bathrobe in the room. The beach is small but the sand is beautiful. No problem at all the beach chairs at the pool. The staff are very friendly. For people who are critical for all or nothing, you must remember that you are in Cuba and not in Quebec. We did a half day in a spa center including massage, mud wraps, reflexology and all spas and baths for as little as $ 39 per person and it was very pleasant.

The only negative point is that there is no balcony on the side of Imperador suites.

Very nice small hotel given the price $ 668.00 one week. Very very good food especially the steak house ever eaten a steak like this in the South great quality price. Resort crumbling! More than 2/3 are currently closed, what is open is more war. Beautiful resort. A large range extending to Cayo Coco Trypp allows for long walks. A beautiful pool big enough with the inevitable bar / grill and where is the animation, a second adult pool for peace of mind. A buffet, a little small, with a reasonable choice. Station "Pasta" and two "grills" where you are prepared according to your choice of meat or fish. A la carte restaurants all very comfortable and offering a good choice. The steakhouse 'El Pincho "is surprising. First real steak in Cuba! The beachside grill offers hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches in addition to a buffet MINI (3 courses). Quality of food: we ate very well at every meal. In three trips to Cuba, it was definitely our best dining experience! Bravo! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Daily maintenance was excellent, we had clean towels every day and the fridge was stocked regularly. Cubans are always friendly and helpful, everyone's gardener server hello and you are ready to help you. Cayo Coco is an island north of Cuba, trips are limited. We had our three teenagers and everyone had a great week

We were very disappointed with the state of the beach. Laguna section of the hotel was not used and the corresponding portion of the beach was not maintained. There was a LOT of bottles, plastic cups, cans and other containers of all kinds lying around on the beach, not to mention the overflowing trash cans and have NEVER been emptied. The stretch of beach near the Emperador section was much better though not perfect. A walk to Cayo Coco Trypp confirmed that it is possible to have a clean beach, without waste. The NH Krystal would need to review its policies and its approach in this area, the competition is better than them! The site of the hotel (swimming pools, landscaping, lobby, etc. ....) was, however, very well maintained. Little (not) activities for teenagers. The late-night shows ... it has seen better!
