Fun Royale

I love Cuba. For me it is the ideal place to recharge our batteries. The sea is beautiful. Buffet and a la carte restaurant, I've seen better, but for the price I paid I can not be so hard for money excellent. We were following section emperador, great room (4108) I felt like going to the cottage. Large room with two double beds and a further bedroom with sofa bed. Very nice week 7 days of sunshine.

Great beach, but many cigarette butts in the sand. Little constructive comment. I would suggest to smokers at the beach to take the time to pick up their cigarette butts before leaving it. A small thing to pay attention to the environment. Sometimes I felt like I moved into an ashtray. Please think about it. Thank you for the next passenger, I inform you that half of the hotel is closed for renovations.

Maids charming, helpful staff.

The villas are actually small cabins, a style roundwood cabbage soup greenish. I was left waiting five hours at the time of arrival because the house was not cleaned but once inside, the fridge and air conditioning did not work, no hot water and safe fort was out of state. I waited three days someone came to fix it. The music of the open-air disco it difficult to sleep. After a change of room in the middle of the week, our problems were solved but my bad impression remained the strongest. Food is more than usual and I know Cuba, it was my fifth trips. at the pool do not think finding shade and into the sea thinking not find service chairs. At high tide the beach becomes one 3 meters wide. I think this 4 star hotel is upgraded and deserves no more than 3.

There is no shade at the pool and beach shelters are very damaged. The site was left a bit abandoned. However, they paint and renovations now ...

I loved this hotel. Staff "male" was very nice and friendly. I was surprised that almost all the staff spoke French very well unlike other hotels I was going or who spoke only Spanish. The beach was very, very beautiful. One of the nicest I've seen. The a la carte restaurants were very good. I had a few misgivings about the "Steakhouse" but it turned out it was what was best.

The buffet was not very good and did not offer many choices. The meal was often repetitive. I'm going in low season and half of the hotel, (the "Laguna") was closed for renovations.

Date: 21-28 April 2008 (the first week off season) - To relax it was great. - Chairs in the shade was available at the beach. - The beaches are beautiful, the sand is white and soft. It does not heat feet in the sun. - The site was very clean

- There are two sections to this hotel: Laguna section and section Emperador. Section Laguna was completely closed so there were two times less than normal service. There was only one buffet and three a la carte restaurants. So for 7 days we ate at the buffet twice a day except for our three meals a la carte. There was also a small grill near the beach for hamburgers or hotdogs. Tell yourself it's like eating at a buffet "Chinese" for lunch and dinner for 7 consecutive days. Let's say for the food it was a bit low. - It was found that the shows were good at the beginning of the week, but it was pretty much the same thing every night. - We did the catamaran trip (full day 75cuc/pers). Still it was good except for dinner. We must have a big lobster but ultimately it was a small lobster with a chicken drumstick and rice. apnea was fun but we must bear in mind that Cayo Coco is not the best place for that. There was not much variety of fish but we had fun anyway. - The overall service was pretty poor. For example, we signed up for the catamaran to go the same day that another person we met there. This person was alone. In the morning a guide billetsavant checked our boarding the bus. We mounted unless the other person was told she had to take the next bus. Finally the second bus never made it and that person has learned she had been transferred to day because there was more room (although we had booked before). We have a few other similar examples ... Listed price / quality ratio, I'm not convinced it was a good deal. I agree with other reviewers that it does not deserve 4 stars. It was perhaps time that the hotel belonged to Serge Savard but it is no longer the case. In summary, despite the negative comments, we enjoyed our trip and we will return probably in the south next year. However it will probably not at the NH Krystal.

The Tropicana Hotel is superb, very clean but no balconies! Overall, with the provision of single occupancy, this hotel is an excellent choice! The a la carte restaurants, but how fair! The staff is very welcoming in general, except in a server pool bar that always hung over with no smile meme with generous tips, another server we did a show with bottles of rum and it is great! The maids always with a smile. Note: Evening of lobsters on Thursday evening in the cafeteria and champagne cocktail (sparkling) on ??Friday evening, and will ask for a bottle and you've got!

The price paid for single occupancy and the toll it would be the whiners to say negative about this hotel!

Site very clean and generally friendly staff. Beach, sand and sea of ??beauty! Lovely pool. Several restaurants on site so we can diversify. Towel service great, it changes every day with no waiting.

Eating on the menu: steak house, ordinary and seafood restaurant very disappointing! The buffet was better on the side of the Emperador. High chairs at the Emperador buffet unattached, not very safe.

we were on the side emperador. chairs available at any time at the beach. courteous despite their workload. I preferred the side laguna azul. we walked to get there, beautiful lobby, snack bar and buffet food more vairée, most beautiful landscaping.

glaring lack of staff, lack of everything at different times (toilet paper, food restaurant near the beach, drinking water, ice, beach towels clean, etc.. no fruit or very little) meat are corriaces . very narrow range. lobby furnishings emperador uncomfortable chairs and insufficient. too much concrete. I do not recommend this hotel or else go coast laguna azul
