Melia Las Antillas

The beach and sea are beautiful. In the room, the water pressure and flow of it are excellent. Customer, to Quebec majority, is not noisy and loves peace. The animation on the beach is not too strong and lasts only a few times (10:00 to 12:30). The live music ends at 23:00. The small alley of memories is fine. Artisans housed there have some interesting memories to offer besides being very nice.

This was our first trip to Cuba and probably the last. The site is very ordinary. The vegetation is uniform and dull (almost no flowers). The hotel borders, Blau, Kerosene sprinkled with all of his property to kill mosquitoes. It does this twice a day, so a strong smell of heating oil persists for a while. The result: mosquitoes are more prevalent in Las Antillas. In general the site, we see that there is a laxity in the maintenance. The paint is faded in places. The front door of our room hinted spaces in which small lizards could be introduced and there is one who has actually slipped. The door of the bathroom was full of rot at the base thereof. Cleanliness was almost nonexistent. The buffet restaurant, there were ants on our table and objects (or animals) not identified on the windowsills. Tablecloths and dishes often were dirty before we started eating. In our room the floor was not cleaned (washed or wiped) of the week. Our sheets were not changed. To get clean towels, toilet paper, facial tissue and of clean glasses, we had to leave a note (in Spanish) to our maid if we had nothing. The service is casual and it is improving, however, with tips. The Cuban people seems to be a profiteer. As there is no table service, all at the beach it makes us a service we would not need. In the evening, an employee stacks beach chairs (about 20 chairs high). The next day at dawn, the guy is there to unstack a chair or two as requested and cons tips. The chairs are stacked so high that you can take without risking injury. Anyway, at the foot of the sand the clerk follows you like a leech. On my reservation, I asked for a room on the farthest from the main building and noise in general. Not only was my room in the main building but it was right on the generators of the hotel and the noise they produce. In addition, this room was about 50 feet of the lobby. Seeing that I did not like the situation, the receptionist pretended to be listening to me. She offered a room change for 25 pesos more. The room we paid as much was identical to that for which we paid a junior suite or economic. The only difference being the higher price. The food was very ordinary, especially at the buffet "Los Tainos" where the remains of the day really looked for "stayers". Another drawback: Never say that you return to the country because you will constantly harass you for gifts. Finally the story of convertible pesos. Incredibly, this currency is stronger than the U.S. dollar. It fluctuates very often. When you exchange one hundred Canadian dollars into convertible pesos and that one only gives you 79 pesos, you feel ripped off. There is that the euro is stronger than the currency of "Monopoly." I forgot to mention the obvious lack of palapas. This fact we have neighbors very close to us (about 6 inches) that we cough or smoke big cigars in the face. Beautiful privacy! We have ignored all these drawbacks during our week in order to enjoy all the same.

C is the second time in the jy returns within 3 months interval. SUPER HOTEL! The a la carte restaurants are very good, the buffet is ok for Cuba, the staff really nice! You do not feel obliged to TIPER each time to get good service. The beach is really nice day in the sea not even speak .... WOWOW ... I miss her! C is clean and did not return any child. There is some animation and music all day and they do not harass t to participate. C is a quiet and both amuses you. There bcp couples, young but also the first time that I have been less. The only negative I could say that c is after the show ends at 11:00 that there is no longer nothing happens al hotel. The club ds hotel does not fortttttt! But c is very safe in Cuba and I went out every night in a taxi in the city ds clubs and really really bcp J had fun!

We are more than ten trips to all-inclusive packages and this place is beyond what we normally find in Cuba. -Excellent food, even at the buffet. You'll have no trouble filling your plate. -Resto à la carte seafood with lobster included at no extra charge. House and site-usually in better condition than the average in Cuba. -All rooms are split-level. 4th and ask more if possible. A few extra are available. -Food available at all times in the lobby. Alcohol-International at any time, and champagne. -To the whiners. Beach chairs available in quantity to the beach and the pool at any time of day. Need to get up early for the palapas (9 is ok). A wonderful place. Really. We changed our room to one above the fifth floor. $ 200 more. I was not disappointed. Room service impeccable. Pool and site clean in every respect. The staff are charming, smiling. OBVIOUSLY THE TIPPING HELP! Hehehhe! It's the same with us right? The sea is beautiful, turquoise, warm with small cold currents. The beach is beautiful.

BEACH POOL T: Lack of palapas. You know the principle? Morning at 07:00 it's walking in a group with a towel over his shoulder and we reserve palapas! It's like that everywhere. It's almost a law. Be careful when making your reservation, we have inadvertently booked for a cheap room via Tour Mont-Royal. There is no description of the economic chamber with TMR. You'll get a room at ground floor and will not be entitled to service mini bar in your room. Went to the hotel, no opportunity to change your reservation, even if the hotel is only 50% capacity. Very nice place, enjoyed our trip. The food was good, not very hot, but it's a buffet. Grilling out = Super good. We enjoyed the shows at night, which was nice. Our room was A1. The service was impeccable.

Super nice beach and very well laid out site. I recommend this hotel for people who want to relax because there are no children.

The cleanliness of the room is poor despite all the gifts and good tips that we have left. We found hair in our bed the first night and in the shower. The maid came about 3 times a day in our room as often towels showers were suitable until late afternoon. The buffet is not bad for lunch, but for other meals, are better off in a la carte restaurants. The quality of staff is shared, some provide excellent service while others are rather stupid.
