The hotel is very good, very clean. Pleasantly surprised by the room. Comfortable bed, air conditioning that worked very well, hot water, nice bathroom. For a 3 star, it was great. Rental with sea view for all rooms, it's great. The beach is small but beautiful with dark corners, free catamaran, pedal boats, kayaks, all free. In addition, the beach is quiet, no music, quiet. I was not looking for a long white sand beach, but if that's what you need, do not go to Bucanero, you will be disappointed.

Since 1980, I made eight trips to Cuba, in different parts of the country. Since a few years, the Cuban personnel has changed a lot. They are now jaded tourists, I noticed the difference. They are certainly smiling but few of them will seek to provide a service beyond the minimum required (value added). Bar staff is the best. But in terms of the dining room is very plain. No sandy beach. Unfortunately they suffered two hurricanes wildly destructible which led many rock and broken on the tiny beach couraux offered. Several people were injured when entering the water but after 15feet you have enough water to swim.

Do not rely on pictures of the hotel ... there is no bar in the pool! Do not book two weeks because you will quickly around the small beach and rocks affect swimming in the sea Bring shoes!
