In the warm sea of the Caribbean and on the south coast of Cuba you'll find the unknown place of Cienfuegos. A magnificent town with European accents, Cienfuegos is attractive for its numerous activities you can do. Diving amateurs have found their account alongside urban explorers. A little busy region, Cienfuegos will let you discover the Cuban charm in a very touristic environment! The charming city of Cienfuegos awaits you with all its beauty. The botanical garden in the town is a must see attraction. This site is considered to be the best for its variety of palms, one of the most comprehensive in the world. Considered as a national monument, the site is also very popular for the numerous specimens you'll find, approximately 1,000 in total. Several impressive buildings with their elegant architecture: The Cathedral of the Purisima Conception, Reina Cemetery, Terry Theatre and the Castillo de Jaguà Fortress are among the most beautiful architectural jewels in town. You can also visit Cienfuegos for its numerous cultural activities that take place there. Museums, theatres, musical spectacles, dance, along with several other cultural appointments can be found in town. While in town, why not enjoy the markets? Several authentic artisan products are available to you on the market tables! Although the hotels in the area are generally low quality, they, however, are situated on excellent diving sites. The Notre-Dame column, with its numerous coral, is majestic and full of color. Many underwater cavities are also found in this area. Wrecks, multicolored fish, majestic flora, obscure and intriguing precipices – what other reasons do you need to visit the Cienfuegos coast? Regardless of your reasons, if you're the kind that prefers all the charm of a region full of hotels and attractions, Cienfuegos is a destination you absolutely must see. (less text)
