Clean and very friendly staff, food indeed pleasantly surprising! Of breakfasts and generously filled. Dinner at the snack bar really good! dinner as well, the Ranchon transformed into a la carte restaurant in the evening: delicious! There is a quality control is done by a supervisor, and I assure you this sounds: employees on time and eager to answer, for example the window of the bathroom of our room was broken and after have meant it took two hours and it was done! Paraiso and Sirena beaches are simply beautiful, the train will bring you free, it's "cool" as a ballad! a trip to the marina village and breeding turtles is worth too. I loved Barcelo. Very clean, quiet, beautiful people, great room, friendly service and good food in abundance. The beach outside the hotel is small but very beautiful. You can go to 800 meters (small bus) to the beach Capricio owned Barcelo, there are chairs, bar and BBQ. Bring your own umbrella from the hotel and you can walk for 1 km. Simple and professional shows. Good teachers of salsa. The furniture and the environment is in good taste. This is not a place for children, teens and young adults. The sea is very agitated. You can not swim. Big waves perfect for cooling off. Not possible to have a water activity. For 2 years and under there is a wading pool. No pool bar.

We made a fantastic journey to this island paradise. everything was for us. The downside of my trip to the beach that the hotel was non-existent. He had gone to the beach at the end of the, island. Also there was the bar Daikiri ouvet 24 hours but the staff was very stupid and not nice. In the hallway of the hotel smelled like sewage.

WHAT CAN I SAY MORE?

The staff is very friendly and many are doing very well in French. The beaches are beautiful and especially the paraiso la sirena, one in front of the hotel and back quietly while we were there they built the bridge down. It is certain that we will return in a few years!

The only downfall was that the snack bar service is slow but anyway you are on holiday!

Our second trip to the barcelo from 4 to 18 Jan 09. With joy and surprise on our part we recognize personel! We are entitled to a special dinner for repeat guess. There have been many improvements in hotel; the bbq at the snack bar, beaches (Caprichio and whitish), the terrace before the ranchon, cleanliness and quality buffet (it theres almost no flies). The staff is very friendly and courteous. Excellent value for money we will be back for the third time next year. The catamaran excurtion DAY on the boat AZUL BLUE OR extraordinary. On the beaches, there is a beach front hotel that comes and goes with the taste of Mother Nature. Blanca beach is 5 minutes walk (without service) and Caprichio the beach is 15 minutes 30 seconds of walking or by bus (service bar and bbq free). There are also beaches Sirena (bar ($) and restaurant ($) and Paradiso (bar service ($) only) that are 25 minutes by train (free).

Even if there were no beach outside the hotel during our stay, I found that installations made Playa Cappricho are correct and accommodating. Perfect place to relax ... Beautiful white sand beaches and turquoise water. You will surely find your very own little corner somewhere ...

Buffet repetitive. Slow service at the snack bar (right side above). The waitresses seemed to run on the radar ... To go faster, go look for something on the BBQ or in small buffet or go Ranchon, faster service (but not many places). The evening shows were not attracted our interest.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Barcelo from 1 to 8 January. We were on our third trip to Cuba, Holguin was the first in November 2007 and one in Cayo Coco in March 2008. We love our trip to Cayo Largo, it was our favorite. The highlight of the island is undoubtedly its beaches, especially those in the west (tiempo punta evil, playa playa paraiso and sirenna). These beaches are long and majestic, one can walk for hours. It is within walking distance of both hotels but not the Barcelo Sol. A shuttle (small train) made the trip to the beach three times in the morning and return to the hotel three times in the afternoon, the trip takes about 20 to 30 min. There is also possibility to take a taxi or rent a scooter or a jeep. For hire, we recommend the scooter for the day (20 pesos). It is much cheaper than the jeep and takes you back to the hotel dinner and going places much less achalander beaches mention earlier. It is best to rent the morning (8:30, 9:00) because we were denied twice we rent a jeep and a scooter at 15h (we wanted to see a sunset sirenna). So we rent for a full day and we return the scooter to 18.30 (the sun goes down to 17.45) The hotel is beautiful and very clean, it is the newest hotel on the island. The reception staff and restaurant (buffet) are nice, sourriants, helpful, courteous, speak good French. Évidamment, tipping is the least we can do to give back to ensure the continued quality of service. We had to change rooms because we are down early and our room was facing the theater, we made the request at 9am in the morning and we had our new room has 17h on the same day. No beach (playa capriccio) develop a few hundred meters to the right of the hotel (shuttle takes you there every 1/2heure) is ordinary but playa blanca, located 2 minutes walk to the left is hôlel pretty.
