The beach is beautiful and well maintained in general. We are fans of diving and the staff at Coco Diving Center is very courteous. Staff generally courteous. The small restaurant on the PIcua the beach (such casse croute) was excellent, very good service. The resort is beautiful, the site is well maintained side vegetation, despite the age of the hotel, we saw improvement work in progress, not abandoned.

The smell emanating from the lagoons bordering our hotel (sector 12) and under the bridge before going to the buffet restaurant is absolutely disgusting. We were disappointed with the buffet, and have been sick throughout the journey. I observed that the cooks used the same utensils when handling raw meat or cooked ... It was very disappointing on this because I went to NH Krystal Laguna last year and the quality of the food was excellent. I thought the Tryp was a 4 star but I think it's more like 3 1/2 or 3 ... Very nice trip for a first experience. We traveled with our 4 year old daughter. The hotel could use a little attention, built around 1995. Side buffet, the food was okay, lukewarm at best. The two a la carte restaurants visited (Cuban and International) were excellent. On the beach, and the Grill restaurant that serves pizza that I forget the name are also very good.
