We were at Melia Cayo Guillermo in early August 2010 with our two children aged 7 and 11 years.

Positive :

Beautiful weather, very hot. Beautiful white sand beach with several umbrellas. No fish to be observed, the water being too low and there is no coral. The buffet is okay, we got to the lobster by the end of the week. Otherwise, pizzas, pastas, grilled meats, kebabs, fish, beef. Good choice in the evening, by cons lunch is more common. We were so in August with less traffic, it is difficult to say for other times of the year. Nice site layout with pools and lots of mature vegetation. The site is really beautiful, the beach is very nice too! The staff is generally very nice. The servers at the buffet we were reminded of the very first night.
