super complex I adore my trip I would stay here again

Emperador trip to Laguna in Cayo Coco from January 30 to February 7, 2011. We were lucky because it was sunny and hot every day. It is a great hotel site with two sections; Laguna and Emperador. Part Emperador was not open but should be soon because there were not enough customers. So in less pool and buffet. The site is clean but a cooling of buildings would be welcome. There are several buildings of 3 or 4 floors and most have no balcony. There are also style "chalets" doubles or singles who are on stilts over the lagoon. Several bridges connect these floating chalets and beach. We had a cottage (2468) simple and we were fine. A large lounge, large bedroom with a comfortable king bed, bathroom with whirlpool bath and large terrace overlooking the lagoon. We were very satisfied. It was clean and quiet. At the entrance of the lagoon there were bad smells in cabins but it felt nothing. The only problem is when we arrived, the magnetic card was not working. An employee came to open our door and the problem eventually be resolved the next morning. Regarding food, the buffet is very redundant. This is practically the same things but we still managed to find his account. There is also a grill that is open 24hrs and pizza and sandwiches are good. For a la carte restaurant, we were in Cuba and I ate (tried) to the lamb. More bone and fat than meat. For against the chicken was good. In Italian, there are pasta and pizza. We had pizza and it was ordinary. The International was better. If you want the gastronomic and what is not for this reviewer. It passes through the town of Moron (nothing to do in this city), then we do a boat ride (really long) on ??a small lake, then we go to an alligator farm where we dine. can also take a walk of about 10 to 15 min. horse. To end the day we will in the mountains and we return to the hotel around 17:30. It was very nice but what disappointed me is that the jeeps are not convertible. I know people who made the catamaran and it was very good. In conclusion, for the price paid ($ 597) I recommend this hotel but I would not go back because there is nothing to do nearby.

Very nice site, exceptional beach!

The site is great, everyone finds their place preference, tranquility or party! The food is excellent for me to know about Cuba (12 times) and not nice variety of stew. Spotlessly clean and friendly service :)

The proximity of the beach, you have to walk long enough to get there, but hey! we made it! The restaurant and toilet of the beach was closed during our stay not convenient. Not enough toilets on the site, seulemet in two places and like I said that the site was very large it is not convenient.

This hotel is really great! We spent 2 weeks at this hotel. The first week we had 5 people and the second week we two people. I would say that the quality of this hotel comes largely from their employees. Everyone is really nice. As the maid that the servers at the buffet, the DJ at the disco. Emperador section was completely closed so we were only on the side Laguna which is fine. Rooms: They are very large. As we were out of season we had our rooms each occ. simple no extra charge. The rooms are very clean. Lots of storage. Refrigerator with bottled water provided. We were in Block 15, 4th floor. We had seen the sea and the disco was directly behind our building. For some it was a bad thing because if we do not sleep until 2h00am and want to go to bed early means the music but if this building is close to everything. The food: As it was low season, there was not much choice but what was at the buffet was always good. There was always something for us. In the morning there are very few condiments to put on toast while knowing it made your peanut butter! The a la carte restaurants was good in general but the inevitable is really the VIP Restaurant. There is a restaurant on the edge of the pool for dinner, it's really good. We can stay in jersey and even go swimming until we ordered our main course. It is open from 11:30 to 17:00. The Lobby: It's really nice and friendly. In the evening, for those who love ... there is a saxophone player or a Cuban singer ... C honestly, is my only negative, they were so asleep and constantly playing the same songs but it's a matter of taste. So in the evening after the show the only thing to do is go have a drink at the Lobby and waiting for the disco opens around 23:00. The disco is really good. Given the season there was not really crowded. Despite that we had fun. The Bartenders and Dj are completely awesome! Ask anything you want to Murphy and you will! :) The beach: We had a huge surge in the first week, which is unusual for the place but it was good. One day we could not go swimming because the sea too rough for the night had brought JellyFish. But it was only one day. We have never seen the JellyFish thereafter. The sand is like flour. The "palapa" are quite different from other places but this place is pretty nice, it's been different. Section of the beach of NH is one of the finest this side. The sea water is very clear and you can snorkel very close to the beach. Overall site: The site was very clean. I have never seen a Tarantula or Atre bébite weird. The pools are beautiful. I am someone who does not work and I have not found that the site was too big unlike some comments ... To go to the beach it took about 3 minutes of the chamber. The only problem was that the toilet was not working the beach. There was no bad smells that came from the same lagoons that it was nice to walk in the evening. Mosquitoes! They were really much more serious and they are voracious in Quebec so bring you the mosquito hunting with DIT 40. With the mosquito hunting, okay, they leave us alone. Animation: It was omnipresent throughout our stay. During the rainy days we found the entertainment at the Lobby with game and prizes, but it was good for those who want plenty of entertainement around the pool, this is really not the place. Otherwise there's still always good music around the pool. You *** Bring a mug for coffee like Silex. It keeps your drink or your water cold and not having to get up every 15 minutes because the drinks are served in small glasses. I recommend this hotel to everyone. People who work struggles to offer the best service. You end up seeing them as friends! Everyone is smiling, we said hello. I did a lot of traveling but I have never seen staff create a sense of belonging to a Resort only by their attitude. Several vacancieras I met have told me back in 10 years because they have made friends in the staff. If you are accustomed to Varadero where you can leave the site, walk to town ... you will be disappointed. In addition to tours, there is nothing to do on the island. There is no inhabitant. All workers live in Moron (1:45 from the hotel).

TIME AND already 3 years ago at this hotel, we saw this year the decline in service quality in general and that of the buffet and restaurant (a la carte). The number of cocktails available has also decreased significantly. For our part, we were there to relax but those looking for atmosphere and more focused at the party said they were disappointed. Week little achanlandée therefore less service ... but advantageous for the availability of chairs, access to different pools, etc.. Despite a few minor irritants, we still had a fantastic week with glorious sunshine!

The poor quality of the buffet, the staff waiting for a tip for every little bit helps, maintenance rooms, limited choice (restaurant, activities, bars, etc.).

I must tell you that I go to this Hotel for several years already and each time I Suiss a little disappointed. This is because donage beautiful location, the beach is great but they have a big problem with food. No diversity, we must always accommodate us with what they offer ... Not always obvious! for the rest no problem. clean, good service and staff very welcoming.

This is not a place to party, the beach is beautiful with its floury sand but the Cubans in general are very cold with lots of tips with the exeption of 3-4 that are nice. The Emperador buffet is better than the other NH.
