Hello, Cuba is Cuba, a great atmosphere, super friendly staff, cleanliness of the place is almost perfect, the food were not dying of hunger, idyllic beach. So please do not be afraid of negative comments ... it must be like for them in Quebec .... Who always whining whining one day ... Moron a must visit and also the big catamaran. No water service problem because of Marylin nautica versus mainteneant hotel but it is a settled case ... Of course Hurricane = 2 days less ....

To start the hotel is named nh krystal laguna. We were housed on the lagoons in a suite (on stilts) very nice, clean, tranquille.Je can not say more because we were evacuated because of Hurricane Paloma .

We left a little worried given some bad reviews. We were pleasantly surprised and would recommend this hotel. All a la carte restaurants were already booked when we arrived including the VIP was no cost to us because we were in the suites Emperador. The suites were very clean, very comfortable beds, fridge stocked every day. The staff are very friendly. The site is great but the Laguna side was beginning to open so it was quiet on that side. We walked there and that's fine. The villas on the lagoon seem fine too and I have not really felt bad odors they told me. Unfortunately we did not stay our whole week because we were evacuated because of approaching Hurricane Paloma. It all went very well.

Only negative comment: it is the algae lying on the beach. Someone told me that when they went in February they were collected. We went to other hotel beaches and the problem was the same. Too bad, because the view is less beautiful. That's all I found negative. Stay there without fear.

We stayed at the NH Krystal from October 20 to November 2, 2008. We were in the following section emperador (Air Transat) (this section was only in operation). We were pleasantly surprised at the hotel in general. The nouritture is good as the buffet, beach restaurant and a la carte restaurants. The large rooms are clean and well furnished. (Note that no chamber section emperador has a balcony) The Week Of October 20th the sea was beautiful and the week of Oct. 27 was unfortunately less beautiful because of a frond causing cold winds. (Too bad for the people of a week-range red flag). We paid $ 1028 for 13 nights. We walked around Laguna Azul section under renovation, a lot of work to do on the exterior. Only the rooms on the 1st floor, blocks of four units in Sections 22 and 23 and the villas have balconies. We would return to this hotel.

Bravo Air Trans. for their flight duty. Nolitour representative (Julie) very accessible and friendly. Home Staff very friendly and after seeing our room we asked for another and after only an hour they gave us a Villa in the Lagoon. Steak restaurant and VIP exellent. My assessment neg. is due to the fact that we were in time to IKE. We arrived on 01 and 07 we were moved in block 45 for safety. So far so éyait correct. I think that goes without saying, when traveling in a country where living conditions and climate are not the same as ours (we are fortunate in Canada!), One has to take information to make our stay more enjoyable. But what I see here is that people complain about the food, cleanliness and mosquito tips. Regarding food, it is widely known that Cuban food is not great and that's why we recommend getting a 4 *. Often, 4 * in this country equivalent to 3 *. We were both warned that it was better to arrive early at the buffet as it was then that the food was hot. About mosquitoes, we were well informed by the nurse at the travel clinic before you leave because we ask questions! About cleanliness, I do not understand what people are complaining. Of course, standards are not the same as here, we, the'' spoiled child'' in Canada. But I did not see anything unsafe. The only thing is that it lacked soap after using the toilet. Super nice weather. The employees are super helpful and nice even if it does not always give a tip. Our room was well located (not too far from the pool) and always clean. We had good service there too.

The beach is very disappointing. It really is not wide and the sand is not as nice as I've been to Holguin 2 years ago. There are a lot of algae in the sea and there is no palapas to protect us from the sun. There were no toilets or restaurant at the beach. In short, I spent one week on the poolside ... If you really want to do the "beach" I do not think will be the perfect place. I would go back to Cayo Coco hotel was good but not for the beach.

Travel mother, daughter and baby, nice pool very suitable for families. clean beach and almost no algae. Room clean and well maintained by staff. I was impressed by the beauty and tranquility of the beach. I ate very well during my seven days. I fully support the comments of Anic Gaudreau, especially in regard to the service at the hotel. These are not the friendliest people and dedicated. It took some time before our linens are changed and you had to run after the maids to get some service. It is true that they place the ball when there is a problem. However, all that bothered me at first but I quickly went over and I still had a great vacation. It depends on your expectations. Except for the price, I was satisfied.
