A vast Northern country, Canada is the second largest country in the World, after Russia. A country as large as Canada represents, first and foremost, a multitude of much diversified tourist activities.

Let’s start with the Eastern part of the country. With her famous warm water beaches and breathtaking natural sites, New Brunswick attracts a great many tourists during the summer season. Prince Edward Island is another popular destination, especially for her golf courses and the beautiful scenery of the National Park. Finally, although a bit less known by tourists, Nova Scotia is a very interesting destination. The Halifax Citadel and patrimonial lighthouses are amongst the Province’s most popular attractions.

Let’s now go towards the centre. Many of the country’s largest cities are located in the Saint Lawrence and Great Lakes Valley. Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto are sought after destinations, due mainly to their cultural activities. Let’s just mention the Moulin à Images, the Jazz festival or the Toronto International Film Festival. But there are a lot more than cultural activities in Centre Canada! Forillon and Mauricie National Parks, Canada Grand Prix, Red Bull Crashed Ice are only a few of the numerous recreational activities you can enjoy in Centre Canada.

With their quiet surroundings, the Prairies are popular mainly for their natural scenery. But there are a lot of fascinating activities to get you through these golden plains, be it cheering at the Calgary Stampede, fishing in one of the thousands of Saskatchewan rivers or strolling through the Winnipeg’s Living Prairie Museum, to only name a few.

Finally, we can’t possibly forget British Columbia in this Canadian Showcase. After the 2010 Olympics make over, Vancouver is a modern city where culture successfully mingles with nature. Close to the city, magnificent mountains open a bucolic view towards the forests and the Pacific Ocean. Hiking and Skiing in the Rockies are also some of British Columbia’s major attractions. And wine lovers will find their happiness in the Okanagan Valley.
