Positive :

What a wonderful trip. We bought a package ROYAL GOLDEN DELUXE and when we arrived at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana, we were led to a new section - ESMERALDA, a section of only three months old. We had the best of both worlds since this section was reserved exclusively for residents of the section ESMERALDA but we also allowed to go in the other sections. We therefore feel that we were in a small hotel with all the advantages of a large complex. We were very close to the beach with a beautiful junior suite, and excellent restaurants, a sparkling swimming pool with lots of room to assoire. It was fabulous. The food was very good. I suggest the Italian and Japanese restaurants. The Mexican is correct and we were disappointed by the French restaurant. By cons, the comments were very good. ESMERALDA front section, we were not chordates like sardines on the beach, contrary to section PUNTA CANA. The site is very great indeed, but there is a very efficient shuttle service that crosses the site. We spent a great week and I recommend it to everyone. A very good price / quality ratio. 45 minutes walk from the complex, on the beach, there is a small flea market where you can buy souvenirs. All right. And the pueblo principle offers all kind of entertainment: casino, karaoke, entertainment after 23:00, souvenir shops and a small flea market. And this part is located completely at the other end of the site so no danger of being woken up by the disco music. Finally, we took the tour VIP CARRIBEAN SAFARI. Really nice. We visiton a peasant's house (culture of the pod, pineapple, grapefruit, coffee), visiting the cathedral, hiking and dinner on a pontoon ride on a river and swimming, visiting a small school ... beautiful day!

Negative :

Some travelers from Quebec who are ashamed sometimes. Courtesy, respect and a smile do not seem to be everyone's priority. It's the holidays after all! We must relax. Also, the boiler is an integral part of culture DR. So arm yourself with patience and be firm. You can cut the prices of those three times they ask. Then negotiate! :) Happy holidays!
