Positive :
The hotel is superb. The long beach of Varadero is one of the nicest I've seen. The rooms in the Colonial section are very well. People complained of dated rooms of the hotel section. Since May 29, 2008, they finally renovate the pool which was a general annoyance. The situation of the Cuatro Palmas, in downtown, is perfect if you are visiting Varadero. The city wakes up at night and the restaurant Calle 62, across from the hotel, offers a show with a group of musicians very catchy. People dance in the same street until the wee hours.
Negative :
The food is terrible. I spent the week to pay me out of the hotel restaurants because I was tired of so low quality meal. The a la carte restaurant are as bad as the buffet but with service.
